This textile was recently shown at the international juried exhibit, Craftforms 2012 Fiber seemed the ideal medium to express the movement, intensity of color, and complexity of the intricate forms found on a coral reef. The waves are structured with sewing techniques to create the sense of water flowing over the surface. Delicate layers of silk gauze, embroidery, handmade paper, and felted wool, merge to create a micro-ecosystem that invites touch and contemplation.
