I had planned to cast these small sea uchin sculptures in glass in a refractory mold in the kiln....but the resulting work was too heavy for my purposes so I developed a cold casting method instead- which achieved my goal of translucency and brilliant color while retaining a light weight suitable for the structure of an art cloth.
